Volkswagen Slovakia has embarked on a path of carbon neutrality as part of a global group. At the end of last year, the plug-in hybrid drive received the fifth SUV model in a row, and from that moment on, all SUV models that are completely manufactured in the Bratislava plant have an alternative, green drive.
InoBat establishes a new InoBat Recycling division. Its CEO is Marta Tomišová. The goal of InoBat Recycling is to protect the environment by eliminating the extraction of the most critical non-renewable resources and recycling batteries in electric vehicles. The recycling project will be implemented in 2 phases: by building a line for physical scrapping of batteries and also a hydrometallurgical line. The processes will result in a 95 percent metal recovery rate, a 35% reduction in production costs and a 20% reduction in CO₂ production.
The logistics provider Dachser started operations in mid-February at a new distribution center in Magdeburg. In an area of 40,000 m2, the family company provides logistics services for its customer Globus Baumarkt and other companies in the region. The expansion created 40 new jobs.

Arete Park Veľká Ida is a well-situated industrial park near the second largest Slovak city, Košice. This highly specialized hall with a unique architecture of the industrial and administrative part was built according to the assignment of the tenant, Dominion Steelcon A/S Slovakia, a member of the Dominon group, which is a global manufacturer of demanding technological equipment. The property with an area of 12,000 m2 represented an investment of 13 million euros.
VGP NV company ("VGP"), a European provider of high-quality logistics and semi-industrial real estate, has committed itself, as part of its sustainability strategy, to continue to implement comprehensive and sustainable carbon measures in the coming years to achieve neutrality by 2025. To this end, it has set new and ambitious goals.
FM Logistic Group operates its own warehouses in Central Europe with electricity from renewable sources. The company has signed contracts for energy from renewable sources with the largest Polish energy group PGE and with the Czech company Pražská Energetika. The contracts relate to logistics facilities owned and operated by FM Logistic.
The international logistics company achieved a net turnover of 1.77 billion euros in the previous fiscal year. The decisive milestones were the digitization, sustainability and worldwide expansion of branches.
CTP, one of the largest industrial real estate developers in Central and Eastern Europe, is entering the Amsterdam Stock Exchange. As part of the IPO, the company wants to offer investors new shares worth approximately EUR 900 million (primary offer). CTP wants to use the proceeds from the primary offer to buy more land, development, but also to repay part of the debts.
