The industrial and logistics real estate market in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) is entering 2025 with strong momentum, offering diverse opportunities for businesses seeking space. Key trends include robust demand, strategic nearshoring, and a growing focus on technology and sustainability.
The new logistics park Panattoni Park Dunajská Streda received a positive decision in the EIA environmental impact assessment process and comes with an offer of modern storage and production spaces that adapt to the growing needs of today's businesses. The new A-class industrial building will be designed with an emphasis on energy efficiency and minimal impact on the environment. Thanks to the project, the village will get a public park with a size of 12,727 m2, which will be built by the company Panattoni during the construction of the industrial area.
According to the latest measurements of the global real estate and consistent company CBRE, total rental activity in the logistics and industrial real estate market increased in the 3rd quarter of 2022 (compared to the same period last year) by up to 89 %. A total of almost 184,000 m2 of industrial and logistics space was rented. An absolute amount of area was rented in the area of the wider surroundings of Bratislava, up to 57 % of the total volume. A significant part was also covered by the rest of western Slovakia (30 %). The remaining percentages belonged to central and eastern Slovakia.
The third fund of the Arete group focused on attractive and stable industrial and logistics assets in the Central European region has completed the acquisition of a production site in Slovakia from the company GENA LOGISTIK. The area of less than thirty thousand square meters is located near Dunajská Streda. The company BSK Transports from the Italian Bracchi group, which has been operating in Slovakia for a long time, continues to be a tenant in the area.
VGP NV, a European provider of high-end logistics and semi-industrial real estate, has announced results for the first half of the year ended June 30, 2022. A strong operating performance led to a net profit of €153.1 million. In addition, EUR 35.4 million in signed and renewed leases was achieved for the first half of 2022, resulting in a total year-on-year rental income of EUR 281.1 million (+9.7% year-to-date) .

On this occasion, representatives of both companies, with the participation of the mayor of Plavecký Štvrtok and the first tenant of IKEA Components, signed a charter, which they deposited in a time capsule with a reference for future generations.
