Volkswagen Slovakia: last year was challenging and successful

According to the factory, the key was to acquire the production of the next generations of the VW Passat and Škoda Superb models, which brings with it an investment of up to EUR 500 million and the creation of 2,000 new jobs. The industrial park in R. Sobota will be an impetus for southern Slovakia

According to the Minister of Economy Richard Sulík, the industrial park, which is to be created in Rimavská Sobota and create hundreds of new jobs, will be a significant impetus not only for this region, but also for the whole of southern Slovakia. "Our philosophy is clear - to gradually reduce regional differences and focus primarily on the least developed. If we want to attract investors to the south, we must have a park ready, which we can offer them immediately," said the head of the economy. The park of approximately 65 hectares should bring at least 500 new jobs. EUR 11.85 million will be set aside for its construction.

Nitra Jaguar Land Rover does not plan to interrupt production
