The construction of the second modern building builds on the success of the first hall in the industrial park near Košice Airport, which has been fully leased to global brands such as XXXLutz, Faurecia, Gastland or GGT. Accolade, together with Panattoni, is responding to the ever-increasing demand for quality business infrastructure by expanding the Košice industrial park. In the Košice region, they will contribute through the new hall to the creation of suitable conditions for new jobs, in which numerous graduates of local secondary schools and universities can also apply.

"The industrial park in Košice is our first large investment in Slovakia. Košice has great potential not only due to its advantageous geographical location, when it forms a natural connection between Western and Central Europe with Russia and Ukraine by rail and road, but also due to the fact that it is the second most populous city in Slovakia. At the end of 2019, more than 800,000 people lived in the entire Košice region. With a new investment in the Košice park, we will contribute to creating the necessary background for new job opportunities not only for students of local universities and will help, among other things, reduce the brain drain abroad, "emphasized Milan Kratina, CEO of Accolade.

The new hall strives for a high level of BREEAM sustainability certification, and therefore will have several ecological solutions focused primarily on highly efficient energy systems and excellent water management. The hall will boast, for example, an above-standard number of large-format windows reducing the need for interior lighting, and thus the consumption of electricity, or two wells for capturing groundwater usable for maintaining greenery in the park area.

"The fully occupied first building in Panattoni Park Košice Airport confirms the interest of clients in modern sustainable industrial real estate. The second building in the park aims for BREEAM certification at the "Excellent" level, "said Pavel Sovička, Panattoni's General Manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

"The logistics park benefits from a very advantageous geographical location. It also has a direct connection to the D1 motorway at Košice Airport, thus serving not only eastern Slovakia, but also the Hungarian, Polish and Ukrainian markets, ”explains Erik Ivaničko, Panattoni's director for Slovakia.

Panattoni Park Košice Airport has a practical geographical location due to good transport accessibility and proximity to markets such as Hungary, Poland and Ukraine. In addition to the nearby access to the European road E58 / E50 leading from Vienna, Austria to Rostov-on-Don, Russia, it is located directly at Košice International Airport. The city is strategically advantageous from the point of view of qualified workers, because it has three universities and has a quarter of a million inhabitants. The possibility of cooperating with universities in the field of light industry is also offered.
