As many as 60% of investors across Europe focused on the real estate market indicate that in 2021 they will invest more than last year. The aim is to increase market liquidity. Germany should be the first to recover from the corona crisis in real estate investment in Europe. London is also very attractive for investors. Investors continue to be most interested in office real estate (35%), but residential properties (24%) are also gaining more and more prominence. Investors' interest also persists in the area of industrial and logistics real estate (22%).
Volkswagen Slovakia has embarked on a path of carbon neutrality as part of a global group. At the end of last year, the plug-in hybrid drive received the fifth SUV model in a row, and from that moment on, all SUV models that are completely manufactured in the Bratislava plant have an alternative, green drive.
InoBat establishes a new InoBat Recycling division. Its CEO is Marta Tomišová. The goal of InoBat Recycling is to protect the environment by eliminating the extraction of the most critical non-renewable resources and recycling batteries in electric vehicles. The recycling project will be implemented in 2 phases: by building a line for physical scrapping of batteries and also a hydrometallurgical line. The processes will result in a 95 percent metal recovery rate, a 35% reduction in production costs and a 20% reduction in CO₂ production.
The logistics provider Dachser started operations in mid-February at a new distribution center in Magdeburg. In an area of 40,000 m2, the family company provides logistics services for its customer Globus Baumarkt and other companies in the region. The expansion created 40 new jobs.
The Arete Group received the CIJ Awards Slovakia Award for 2020 in the Best Warehouse Development category over 10,000 m2. Arete Park Veľká Ida is a well-situated industrial park near the second largest Slovak city, Košice. This highly specialized hall with a unique architecture of the industrial and administrative part was built according to the assignment of the tenant, Dominion Steelcon A/S Slovakia, a member of the Dominon group, which is a global manufacturer of demanding technological equipment. The property with an area of 12,000 m2 represented an investment of 13 million euros.

The properties that make up its portfolio and that they offer for rent are significantly different from those of their competitors and have found their customers on the markets in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Germany, and one of them is also located in Slovakia - Košice. Now the Accolade Fund is coming to our market and offers Slovak investors the opportunity to benefit from the growth of e-commerce and logistics. At the same time, an investment horizon of 5 years and a minimum investment of EUR 75,000 must be taken into account.
Behind the birth of Accolade is Milan Kratina, who, while studying at university, met with the preparation of land for the construction of the industrial real estate. He has not set out in this area and has built a company that has become one of the influential players in the industrial infrastructure market in Europe.
Bonami published its business results for last year, which, despite complications in the form of the global pandemic COVID-19, was marked by growing sales and profits. In Slovakia, the company increased sales by 12.6 million euros, which represents a 49.6% increase. It is interesting that the largest increase in sales was recorded in the garden category.
