The plant runs in an exceptionally stricter regime, when after the end-of-year tightening of conditions, the obligation to work from home applies to all work positions whose presence in the plant is not directly necessary for the production of cars. Remenárová recalled that on December 28, Jaguar Land Rover conducted voluntary testing of employees and suppliers. They organize the second round this week.

The District Crisis Staff in Nitra calls for limiting the activities of as many production facilities in the district as possible, testing company employees and limiting the number of customers in shops so that there is 25 square meters per area. Kindergartens in the region should also be closed, they should only work for the children of employees from critical infrastructure.

"The situation in Nitra remains critical. The number of people infected is increasing, in the last seven days we are the worst district in Slovakia," said the mayor of Nitra Marek Hattas. According to him, Nitra is preparing for nationwide testing, which is to be on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Testing should take place not only in the city, but also in the municipalities of the Nitra district.
