The next step is the takeover by new investors for construction and long-term operation. The first project is located on the roof of the logistics and industrial facility BHM Park Dunajská Streda in Kostolné Kračany, Slovakia. With an installed capacity of 4.5 MWp and an expected annual electricity production of more than 5 GWh, the project was acquired by Energe SK, an independent energy supplier and aggregator.
The second project, located on the roof of BHM Park Maribor in Hoča, Slovenia, has a capacity of 3 MWp and is expected to produce 3 GWh of electricity annually. It was acquired by Resalta, part of the global energy group Aggreko.
“The sale of these projects is in line with our long-term strategy: we develop solar parks to the RtB stage and then hand them over to specialized investors. Using the roofs of our facilities to produce photovoltaic energy is a natural step towards a sustainable future and creates valuable synergies between BHM’s investment segments,” said Michal Prause, Associate Partner at BHM Renewables.
Both projects were designed with the potential for the future installation of battery energy storage systems, which would enable more efficient use of the generated energy. Construction is expected to start in 2025, and the first electricity deliveries to the grid are expected in 2026.
BHM Renewables has experience in developing solar projects. Between 2013 and 2020, the company developed a portfolio with a capacity of 25.3 MW in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, which was later sold to the Austrian fund Enery. BHM Renewables is also currently focusing on the development of solar parks in Finland, where, through its Winda Energy platform, it has advanced projects with a total capacity of more than 200 MW to the RtB stage.
